These are some of the services we have on offer:

Annual Stock Valuation
A necessary requirement for all businesses that hold Stock in Trade, for your accountant, Inland Revenue, Customs & Excise.

Interim Stocktake
Normally undertaken at the request of the client to keep up to date, or as is often the case, when considering refinancing the business.

Periodic Stocktake
Can be undertaken for a variety of reasons but would normally be for management purposes, monitoring and controlling stock ‘shrinkage’ and its effects.  Valuations are normally applicable to business transfers i.e. the sale or transfer of the stock in trade between parties but may also be required for other reasons including probate.

Liquidation
Stock has to be sold to raise funds for instances of bankruptcy, or agreeing terms with your creditors.

Dissolution of a Partnership
Where one partner is leaving the company, a valuation of the stock has to take place as technically each partner owns a portion of the stock.

Insurance
Where you have something like a fire, theft or water damage, a stock valuation must be undertaken for the insurance assessor.

Asset Register
A record of individual, tangible fixed assets, which can be tagged or bar-coded – these may or may not require valuing. In addition, we can supply our own asset register software which can be altered to suit individual specifications.

Inventories
Where the requirement is to specifically identify and quantify line items being either, stock, fixtures & fittings or assets.

Whatever the requirement, National Stocktakers undertake all stocktakes using tried and proven methods which suit specific requirements or can adopt a client’s existing methods where necessary.
